Recently had the amazing opportunity to shoot at Kenneglenn Scenic and Nature Preserve in East Aurora, New York. Flew with the Phantom 3 Professional in Cinema 4K. The pristine landscape scenery and some really unique weather conditions were integral to the success of this shoot.
For this shoot I used the Phantom 3 Professional with D-Log Picture style and Sharpness: -3 Contrast:-3 Saturation: -2. In shot in 24 frames per second with a 1/200 shutter speed. Wish I could have kept it slower, some of the snow came out a little 'streaky;' but ultimately it was just too bright when I was shooting. Here are stills from the original:
Graded using the Lumetri panel in Adobe Premiere Pro. Used the SL Blue Cold LUT that comes pre-installed to give the footage a cooler tone.
Phantom 3 Professional handled amazing in the snow. Calm conditions - gusts less than 10 mph - created a very beautiful situation where the snow fell gracefully and added interesting depth to the shots.
